Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

Question about medical exam!

I have a question, I am engaged to my American boyfriend (I am here on a F1 visa) and we plan on getting married but I was wondering if I could also take the medical exam BEFORE I am married yet, so I can collect everything and send it in as soon as I am married.

Re: Question about medical exam!

You can take the medical exam anytime up to a year after the exam report is prepared. It doesn't matter if you're married or not. It depends on when it is taken relative to its expiry, one year, and also who it's done by, an authorized civil surgeon if performed in the U.S. or a panel physician if outside the U.S.
