Legal Question in Immigration Law in California
Hello, I have a question.
I am on H4 Visa. I am planning to study for my Masters on H4 and during the last semester/quarter, convert from H4 to F1. In this scenario, am I eligible for OPT? Do I have to be on F1 for 9 months to apply for OPT?

One can get OPT during vacation time, while school is in session & does not exceed 20 hrs/wk, or after completion of the course of study. The student must be in full time status for at least one academic year. For further questions re. CPT or OPT, you can speak with your international student adviser at school.
