Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

What are the rights of a Temporary Religious Worker?

I am a Temporary Religious Worker (R1) and I would like to know what are my rights in this status or a source where I can read more about this.

Can I travel abroad?

Can I study (do I have to change visa category in this case)?

Can I register a car on my name?

Can I own real estate on my name?

Can I sue?

Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

Re: What are the rights of a Temporary Religious Worker?

As an R-1 nonimmigrant Religious Functionary Worker, you should have the same or similar legal rights as other individuals in the US. Some of these rigths may be limited though due to your nonimmigrant status. If you require specific information with respect to your questions, you may contact me to set up an appointment for an initial legal consultation. My legal fee for an initial legal consultation is $100.

Please feel free to contact me via email or phone.

Very truly yours,
