Re: sponser a person from africa

Your friend will need to sponsor her husband for either a K3 visa or for an immigrant visa. Generally, it is not a good idea to have a spouse of a U.S. citizen enter the U.S. with a tourist visa, as he or she will run the risk of being denied entry to the U.S.

Your friend should either consult and retain an immigration attorney to assist her in this matter or ensure that she has as much information as possible about the process. A good place for her to start if she does not wish to hire an attorney is the USCIS's web site.
