Can I sponsor my nephew from India and how long after sponsoring him will it take for him to get a work permit?

Unfortunately, you cannot petition a nephew for a greencard. Other options, depending on his age and education, may include the F-1 (student) or H-1B (specialty occupation/work) visa, or an immigrant visa through a U.S. employer or U.S. citizen spouse.
