Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

sponsor

I sponsored my spouse for green card. But I have been out of work a year now and I no longer have any money. My spouse is employed and making good money. Do I need to contact INS and let them know about this turn of events? My spouse will be loosing the job soon (per spouse) in that event what should we do?

Re: sponsor

You need to find someone else to provide the affidavit of support...and that person needs to be present at the adjustment hearing.

Re: sponsor

You can find other sponsors willing to help with the affidavit of support. They will need to complete the household contract part of the form if they are additional sponsors.
