regarding status change from f2(B) to f(3)

Respected Sir,

My name is Smita.I am 25 year old.I have F2(b) category in immigration visas in America. My pition file was submitted by my mother on December,1996.. My mother have citizenship exam call in next march. I get information that if I marry after my mother become citizen than my old petion file's date remain same & my case will transfer to F(3) category with old pition file's date.

Is it possible & if yes than is it possible for my husband to come with me in F(3) category with my old pition file's date ?

Yes, your case will be transferred to the F3 category for married sons and daughters of U.S. citizens. Currently, the waiting list for this category is faster than the F2B category by 2 to 4 years except if you're from the Philippines in which case it's slower by 5 years. An accompanying husband is also eligible to immigrate with you.
