Legal Question in Immigration Law in California
my stepson plead to a possesion charge and now is in jail to be deported back to russia. his attorney said if he writes a letter to him stating a good reason to change his plea it could stop his deportation. his reason can't be bad legal advice. He is only 20 and has been here since age 10. has no family anymore is russia. what would be a good reason for his attorney to ask for a plea change?

You will want to consult with an attorney in California that specialises in criminal and immigration law. You may also want to review if his parents are US citizens if he became a derivative citizen at that time.
