Legal Question in Immigration Law in California
I submitted a n-400 application along with a fee waiver. The application got returned today, and it said two things: the check amount is incorrect and has not been provided, and I am filing before the five year time limit.
I did not receive any letter regarding the fee waiver, as to whether it was approved or rejected. They are right I was ineligible by four days as of the time the petition was submitted. What I want to know is that can I resubmit the application along with the fee waiver?
It seems as if the part about the check amount being incorrect is some sort of additional part that the people at the lockbox add once they dont see a check, at least from what I am reading online. And since I didnt receive any notice specifically denying the fee waiver. Can I use the fee waiver again?
Also does the fee waiver make them ask for your income tax returns? I will prefer if they do not ask for my income tax returns.

You should resubmit your N-400 and you may only apply for citizenship during the 90 day period before you have been a lawful permanent resident for 5 years. If you are requesting a fee waiver based on the level of income you receive, you will have to submit your tax returns.
