my Thai girlfriend, who is a resident of Taiwan, is carrying my child. She is in the process of divorcing her Taiwanese husband. we want to birth and raise the child in Taiwan. i am told this is fine if we are married.
my question: what is the simplest way to get married here in the u.s.?

Why not marry in Taiwan, as that is the country you might have problems with, not the USA since you will not be living here. Once she is divorced, you can easily marry in the USA, just take out a marriage license and have an government employee scheduled to marry you.
Once she is divorced, you can marry her in the US just the same as if you were marrying a US citizen - each state has its own waiting periods and requirements. If you are intending to live in Taiwan you do not, at this time, need to be concerned with US immigration requirements. (Unless she is not currently here in the US, and needs to enter the US prior to marriage).
