Legal Question in Immigration Law in California
Travel abroad after filing N400
We have completed our fingerprinting in the N400 process and waiting for the interview call. Can I travel abroad for 3-4 months and have somebody monitor my mail in my absence?

Re: Travel abroad after filing N400
I am not sure where in California you are but if you are in northern CA, you may be scheduled for an interview in less than six months. While you may travel abroad and have someone monitor your mail, you may be called in for an interview during the time you are away. It would be best to postpone your trip, if you can. If you cannot, be sure to instruct the person monitoring your mail to ask CIS to reschedule your interview if it is scheduled while you are away.
