Legal Question in Immigration Law in California
I want to travel to Mexico, but I'm undocumented. I was brought into this country when I was 11 years old. I know I will qualify a work permit in two years once I graduate out of high school. Can I reenter the country with just the work permit? How is the work permit going to help me If I won't have a Social Secuty Number.. I've always done good in school, perfect record, perfect grades. Please orient me... Thank you

Unfortunately, you will not be able to re-enter the country if you have been here illegally, since you will be subject to a 10 year bar from re-entry as soon as you depart.
The new "Obama law" has not been fully explained nor implemented yet. USCIS anticipates that guidance will be available in about 60 days.
