Legal Question in Immigration Law in California
I understand that if an alien fails to leave within the specified time after being granted voluntary departure and gets caught, the alien will be ineligible for 10 years for further grants of voluntary departure, adjustment of status, change of status, and cancellation of removal. My question is does that 10 years of further grants begin on the date of removal or on the date of being caught?
