I don't believe your financial situation will have a negative impact unless you have not paid your federal income taxes. Provided you demonstrate good moral character and meet other eligibiity requirements, being unemployed is not a criterion that is used to decide your eligibillity to become a citizen of the United States. Please review the Naturalization Guide that you received from USCIS. The most important criteria are that you have been a lawful permanent resident for at least five years, have good moral character, are willing to support the United States Constitution and take up arms in defense of this country if necessary. If you had enough money to pay the horrendous fee for Naturalization, I would not worry about not having enough money to pay your expenses, at least not where your naturalization is concerned. Maybe after you become naturalized, your luck will change and you will be in a better position to find decent work. Good luck to you!
