Legal Question in Immigration Law in California
I know that if you came in the USA legally, with valid papers and visa, but overstayed, you can still apply for a greencard after marrying a U.S citizen.
But my boyfriend is in the navy. Will marrying me put him or his career in any harm?

No it will not, unless he helped you illegally to stowaway on his ship and avoid inspection.

I don't see why that would be an adverse factor.
