Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

USCIS Procedural Questions

I am an attorney with years of litigation experience but no immigration experience. I plan to file a Form G-28 to accompany my wife at her interview. My questions are 1) how many copies need to be filed, 2) should they be blue backed and hole punched, 3)is there any time limitation insofar as filing prior to the hearing or can it be filed on the day of the hearing. Thanks, HRS

Re: USCIS Procedural Questions

1. One G-28 is needed for the interview.

2. No need to be blue backed, but G-28 needs to be printed on blue colored paper, preferably. Hole punched is not a requirement, but I will do that for all documents that need to be submitted to USCIS to make things easier for them.

3. Submit G-28 on the day of the interview. But if you're referring to "hearing", it should be EOIR-28.

Good luck!
