visa for an artist
I have a friend who is an established artist in India. He wants to come here and sell his paintings. what kind of visa does he need ? is there a special visa provision for artist from abroad ?

If he just wants to sell his paintings and not work in the U.S., he may be able to use a business visitor visa. If he plans on opening a shop to sell the paintings, he will need a nonimmigrant visa that authorizes work or investment.
