Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

Get visa after buying a store in US

Dir Sir/Madam,

we are planning to buy an existing deli store in CA, USA. It will costs 8,000 $. This is for the inventory, and we would take over the lease contract. We recognize high potential to enlarge this business.

Now our question:

We are German citizen and we dont have any visa. We are still in Germany. How can we get the E2-visa, and is the investment of 8,000 $ enough for the E2-visa, with background to enlarge?

Thank you very much for your answer.

Sincerely

The investment amount of $8000 is a bit too low. Your investment should be more substantial, therefore, it would be advisable to provide a business plan detailing the growth potential, economic benefit to the US and the business' capability to require US employees within five years of the investment. Remember, they need to see something beyond just making enough to make a livelihood, but generating substantial profit. You also need to show enough money to initially sustain you without reliance on the business.
