Is it possible ???
my wife is a legal resident since 1989 and i am a illegal imigrant that came in to the country with a valid turist visa and passport. my question is : does my wife need to be a US citizen for her to make me a legal resident. what woul you recomendt?

yes...if she becomes citizen...your priority date will be current.

It is possible; your wait will be minimized substantially as you will be an immediate relative not subject to the quota system. This means that you will not have to wait very long to become a resident
