Legal Question in Insurance Law in California

My 2007 Dodge Nitro was totaled in an accident. It was the other drivers fault. His insurance offered compensation of $10,200 which is estimated actual replacement value, however the Nitro has a lifetime drivetrain warranty to the original owner. The other drivers insurance company refuses to compensate for the loss of warranty coverage. Am I due compensation based on the loss of the warranty?

You said the car was totaled. When the insurer pays its full replacement value, it will become the owner of whatever is left of the car. When you no longer own the car, the warranty will no longer have any value for you. So no, you are not entitled to payment for the warranty on top of the full value of the car.
