Legal Question in Insurance Law in California
In May 2015 I fell on my mouth and had extensive dental work. My ins. co. is delaying a decision. They claim it's a dental problem. I don't have dental ins. but pay cash. My teeth were fine before the accident. In your opinion can I claim this as a medical insurance problem and/or a dental insurance problem. I don't want to pursue this if I have no control over their decision. I spent almost $3,000. and I still need more work done. When I call them I spend several hours on the phone with different reps and get all different stories. I find this stressful. I'm retired and my health ins. co. is Health Care Partners with United Health Care. Thank you.

This is a medical, not dental, problem and your health insurance should cover it. An accident caused the dental damage, so it is a medical problem. Good luck.
