Legal Question in Insurance Law in California
Just got into a accident... I backed into a empty
parked car will in the parking lot (it was entirely my
fault and notified the owner)
I was wondering if I should notify or get my
insurance involved or not?
I mainly don't want to get my insurance involved bc
higher premium and recently started driving since
2023 may so I don't know any driving laws and
stuff)
Is there pros and cons to notifying my insurance?

If you did more than $1,000 damage you are required by law to report it to the DMV. That puts it in a database that your insurance company has access to. If you report it to your insurance company most companies will file the report for you. If you don't file the report and don't notify your insurance company, the other car owner's insurance company will still file a report from their side and your insurance company will then know you failed to report it.
If you can afford to pay for the damage without insurance, that will mean you don't add a claim to your insurance record, but the incident will be on your record no matter what.
