Legal Question in Insurance Law in California
I have auto insurance with geico with two cars and one motorcycle on the policy. I was in an accident that resulted in over 5000. damage to the vehicle. Geico wouldn't pay because they said the policy was expired on the day of the accident and didn't go back into force until a day after the accident.
I had no idea that my payment had arrived late and had received no notification of any cancellations. Is it legal for them not to pay the accident damages?

This might be worth investigating. Why don't you ask them for a copy of the envelope and both sides of your check to see if they're telling you the truth?
