Legal Question in Insurance Law in California
Beneficiary
Before I was married I purchased life insurance and named my children as the beneficiares. Now that I am married will my spouse be entitled to the policy if something were to happen to me, even if she is not named on it?
Thank you!

Re: Beneficiary
Maybe up to 1/2, if she argues with the beneficiary and the insurer. By not changing the beneficiary, if you want her to receive anything, you are basically inviting a lawsuit after you die. Now is the time to straighten things out, so make the effort to do so.
