california auto insurance

if a person has no auto insurance of his own, can i add him to my policy as an additional driver - he is my domestic partner - the cars are in my name because he had a bankruptcy a year ago

If you are registered domestic partners, it would be unlawful for the carrier to discriminate against you. Certainly one spouse could add the other to a policy of insurance. There's no reason you shouldn't be able to do so.
