Legal Question in Insurance Law in California

car accident

My friend was in a car accident and it was her fault. The other person has medical bills that are around the 1 million dollar mark. My friend has full coverage and her insurance company Geico is not paying for anything. My friend is now being sued but the injured person in the accident and is going to be represented by a lawyer from her insurance agency. The lawyer from the injured party wanted my friend to give them permission to sue her insurance company and notioned to her that she should also sue them because of ''bad faith''. Her court case is coming up in a week and a half and i am trying to do my best to help her and relieve some stress. What are her options? If she does give permission for the other party to sue her insurance company, can they also sue her and can her insurance company sue her also? Please help. Thank you.

Re: car accident

Advise your friend to immediately go to her won attorney. She might be able to immunize herself from any liability in this case. She should not tell her defense lawyer or anyone else she is going this. Make sure the lawyer she goes to knows about liability insurance law.
