Car damage in food chain parking lot
I was parked in a major food chain store in Southern California parking lot. I walked out and their basket was up against the top of my new car. Leaving a big dent and scratch. Are they liable for the repair to my car?
Which we were told by them, they are not liable.

they are not unless one of their employees did the damage
