Legal Question in Insurance Law in California
Car Insurance unknown Cancellation
Car insurance has been sending bills to AK. We have never lived there, never called them to change our address, and yet they keep changing it. We have called and had them change address to CA residence at least 3 times.
Last bill was sent to AK. We didn't know it was due. Were never informed that insurance was going to be cancelled. We have no insurance, and lender requires insurance on car at all times. Lender is now going to charge us a hundred or so dollars for a week of insurance from their company.
We didn't know policy was cancelled. What should we do? Can we take legal action? Is our current insurance company at fault?

Re: Car Insurance unknown Cancellation
I suggest getting insurance with another carrier immediately. Don't stick with a company that doesn't listen to its insureds.
