Name change and Insurance benefits
If you legally change your name, and somebody has you as beneficiary using your old name, would you still be able to receive those benefits?

Re: Name change and Insurance benefits
That should not make a difference since you have proof you went by the old name and now have a new one. You are the same person.

Re: Name change and Insurance benefits
Changing your name would not affect your right to the benefits, but might make it harder for the insurer to find you and/or to verify that you are the beneficiary.
