Legal Question in Insurance Law in California
The right to have the check made out to me.
A tow truck damaged my car while lifting it. I got a estimate. The tow company is only willing to send the check to the repair center. I wanted to know if there was any law stating they are obligated to send me the check for damages if i don't want to get it fixed. Thanks.

They have to pay you as the owner of the vehicle. Their concern is that you will take the money and not get the car fixed. It is not their business. If they will not pay you, and the damages are under $7,500, file in small claims court and bring two estimates.
