Legal Question in Insurance Law in California
collecting a judgement
A friend was rear-ended by an uninsured driver. She has a $500. deductable on her insurance & her rates will go up. My friend wants to take her to small claims court to get a judgement, but what are her legal rights and ways to collect the money? Can she garnish the other person's wages? What if the person is on welfare or SSI, can she be garnished?

Yes, she can garnish the other person's wages. if they dont work she can either wait till they do or find other assets.
