Can the Insurance Company terminate the contract without notice to the Agent?

Yes because legally the policy is a contract between only two parties, the insurer and the insured. Almost all forms of termination are regulated by statute. There are a number of ways to terminate a contract - was yours cancelled? Non-renewed? Rescinded? Each is subject to different rules.
As a matter of general business practice, no, the agent is usually notified.
