Legal Question in Insurance Law in California
If I co-sign for an auto loan, what liabilities do I assume? Would I be financial liable for damage, injury or death of a 3rd party?

Only if you also go on title as a co-owner of the vehicle. Otherwise your only risk is having to pay off a loan on a vehicle you don't own and have no right to possess without going to court.
