Legal Question in Insurance Law in California
Hi, I am a dentist and I current own a dental practice in California. I am thinking of putting an ad out to attract new patient without dental insurance. My plan is to provide in-house insurance( discounted) plan for non-insurance patients. New patient will have to pay a premium fee per year and receive discounted fees on our services. Is that legal? would that consider a unfair competition towards other PPO insurance company?

It is legal and is often done with things like pre-paid legal services through contracts with unions. I am not certain what effect it would have on your contracts with PPO's and insurance carriers. It would be worth a paid consultation with an insurance and business law specialist. Good luck!
