Legal Question in Insurance Law in California
I have a dog bite question. I board dogs in my home in California. My clients dog bit my boyfriends son on my property. The owner of the dog turned it over to his insurance company and now they are asking for my insurance. I do not have business liability insurance and my homeowners will not cover. I run my company as a c corporation. The parents of the child are not asking the dog owners insurance for any compensation. What are my rights??

None. When you went without insurance, you made a bet that this wouldn't happen. It did: you lost your wager. Pray the lawyer loses interest in the case when she finds out you are uninsured. As of now, you have the right to have your company go bust, and you also have the right to be sued into personal bankruptcy if the lawyer is able to "pierce the corporate veil."
