Legal Question in Insurance Law in California

I was hit by a drunk driver I was not on the policy but the type of insurance we were paying for cover insured uninsured and unlicensed drivers not only did he hit me he rear-ended me he left the scene and he was arrested for being under the influence of alcohol when I went the next day to the police department I obtain a police report the driver and I had the same insurance Company first I called and made a claim with our insurance company I was given an adjuster and the claim number who never contacted me next submitted a claim with the drivers insurance and they also submitted an adjuster on a different claim number I received one letter in the mail and no one returned my calls or emails the day after the accident I went to the emergency room and I was in pain I also told them it was accident-related this happened on the 17th of April we are now May 10th and they have denied all claims without giving me any other notification they also recorded my statement and I have no bad driving record I am also licensed
