Legal Question in Insurance Law in California

Insurance company said a broken abs line not covered

My home was built in 1977. I had a ABS line come apart under the toilet in the guest bath and at the other end of the house where my dishwasher is. The insurance company send a video inspection company out who reported a perfuse leak for at least a month at the 2inch and 3inch pipe. He said the kitchen leak was worse then the bathroom leak. My hardwood floors in the kitchen buckeled and this is how I found out there was a problem. My insurace company has a number to call with policy questions and they told me this would be a covered loss. 30days after the claim was filed I recieved a letter denying my claim. They just copied off the list of exclusions and sent it with the letter. I am surprised they are doing this because my policy states that a slow leak is not covered but this is above the floor not under the floor. I would think poor workmanship or bad glue would have gone bad long before now so I dont see how they can deny this claim what do you thinki?
