Legal Question in Insurance Law in California
If an insurance company denies a claim and I take the insured to small claims court and win does and the insurance company pays does that mean they accepted fault?

Insurance carriers often deny valid claims using a risk-benefit analysis, figuring that most people won't spend the effort and/or money to fight the denial in court. Once its insured is found liable, though, the carrier has a duty to protect the insured.

Yes, they accepted liability and paid their insured's judgment debt.
