Legal Question in Insurance Law in California
Can an insurance company pay for a service such as a camera on a patient in a hospital if the patient requests it? So that a family member can view them, Without violating the privacy issue law?

The insurance company can pay for anything they are willing to pay for. I cannot imagine, however, any hospital allowing a monitoring camera to be installed that could be accessed by non-staff. The risk of HIPPA violations in such a situation would be enormous.
