Legal Question in Insurance Law in California

An insurance company is not supporting the the funeral preneed contract that their agent wrote up "wrong". The company says it will only pay a set price that is in the contract that was later sent to the owner, they will not abide to the package that was sold and signed by the agent and owner. They are in Utah, the contract was solicited and signed in California, can we sue the company here in California in small claims court?

You can sue them in California, and it may be a bigger case than you think it is (look up [insurance "bad faith"]. A major issue will be whether the agent had authority to bind the company to the contract. A legal consultation is in order. Watch out for legal time limits.
