Legal Question in Insurance Law in California
Insurance requirements in auto accident
I was in an auto accident. My insurance repaired my car. It took some time to get the repairs and the insurance company of the individual that was at fault does not want to pay for the rental of the car that I had during that time period. They said it was not resonable for them to have to pay it.

Re: Insurance requirements in auto accident
If you are dealing with the at-fault driver's insurance company they are required to pay for a reasonable rental car, one equal to the vehicle that was damaged. They are required to cover the cost from the date you rented the vehicle to the date you and the insurance company came to an agreement on the cost of the loss. If you need additional help, please feel free to email me directly so that you do not have to wait so long for an answer.
Sincerely,
