i was looking for a job.my car was parked on santa monica blvd,c.a.

another person came a cross santa monica blvd, and totaled my car. i dont have a car to go looking for employment. i dont have money to rent a car. i cant take my 5 year old son to school.my wife dont drive.she is at home with back problems.she dont work.the other insurance company is not giving me a rental. insurance company wants me to get my own rental till thay find who is at fault .i dont have any income for rental. i have a loan on my car. chris.

You've got few options. First, if your car was properly insured, then use your own insurance to take care if your claim. This will be the fastest way of getting you back to where you need to be.

Second, hire a lawyer to pursue the other driver.

Third, if your claim is limited to property damage only, and the amount is less than $10k, sue the person who totaled your car in the small claims court.

You can also rent a car and attach the bill as part of your damages.
