Legal Question in Insurance Law in California
I live in the state of California. My father lived and passed away in California on Dec 6th. He died of Bacterial Pnemonia. Approx 4 days prior to his hospitalization, he got into a single vehicle accident where he was the driver. He passed out and drove into a creek. He was ambulated to the local emergency room, clothes were soaking wet. My dad had accidental life insurance. I have been told by my friends/family that I should file a claim because the Baterial Pnemonia which caused his death was a direct result of the car accident and driving into the creek. Do you think that this would be a valid claim? His death cert states cause of death was Bacterial Pnemonia. Thanks for any advice.
