non-payment of insurance benefits
i was working and was injured on the job. i was covered by workers comp and long term disability(LTD). i was paid under the workers comp case but i had alot of trouble getting the LTD. eventually i got a payment of about half. then i was told that i won--name removed--qualify due to a Dr's report of my job. this Dr' was not my treating Dr.WHAT ARE THE RULES REGARDING THESE TYPES OF CASES

You have to argue with the insurer. Get a copy of the written denial, and respond with a letter from your own M.D. which refutes it. If you cannot get satisfaction, you will have to sue.
