Legal Question in Insurance Law in California
I operate a business and a pipe bursted under the tub, flooding underneath of the home. Cleaning and removal of water and damage incurred costed almost $5000. Claims adjustor agreed on insurance reimbursement, but my agent refused to pay me back even though i was insured. Can I claim the money after 2 years?

Yes. Contact the adjuster and find out why you did not receive the check. It is normally send to you, not the broker. The broker has no right to the funds, the settlement is between you and the insurer. If there is any problem, speak to the adjuster's supervisor and just keep going higher up the chain of command at the carrier.
