Legal Question in Insurance Law in California
Personal Property damage-sigining 1542
My trailer was parked in storage when a DUI hit it along with two other properties. Total coverage limt $10k which is being allocated to all of us. Damages to my trailer=totaled and I not recovering 50% from the insurance company. Criminal charges where filed by the city against the driver and I have an order for restitution from the court. If I sign the release from the inruance company for my allocated amount, can I still collect the balance from the DUI driver with the order from the court?

I doubt it. Did you have any insuranc of your own on it? What about the storage place, isn't it insured for your damage on its property?
