Legal Question in Insurance Law in California

Power of Attorney for Car Insurance

Why did the Automobile Club of Southern California (ACSC), send me a Power of Attorney form 8 months after I paid my total renewal insurance payment in cash the last week of December, 2007 in excess of $2,000.00? I am a 24 year old male, clean driving record. No one in my immediate family, relatives, friends or associates that are insured with ACSC have ever been sent a Power of Attorney form. Please respond. Thank you.

Re: Power of Attorney for Car Insurance

I think the power of attorney is an authorization for the board to cast a vote on your behalf on some organizational changes. If I'm right, then its about the operation of the ACSC and not about your insurance policy. You should read the document and the accompanying materials to verify what it is for.
