Legal Question in Insurance Law in California
well the reason the insurance comany (farmers insurance co) wants to dismiss is because the amount is set at 24,000. and they did not repair the vehicle or return it to me. So is showing up to court with the ownership papers and proof of insurance enough tostop them from dissimal and win the case.

It sounds like that the insurance carrier filed a motion for summary judgment. If you didn't timely file a written opposition, showing up to court with papers in hand probably won't help you. Depending on when the hearing date is, it might be worth your while to bring an attorney on board to review everything you've done and get a written opposition on file. If there's not enough time, then you should send a writing to the court asking for more time to secure legal representation. It sounds as if you can't go it alone!
