Legal Question in Insurance Law in California
I was recently involved in an automobile accident and I was at fault. My auto-insurance only covers $100,000 per injury and only up to $300,000 per accident. Due to the accident, a passenger in the vehicle in front me required brain surgery and my insurance has informed me they might not be able to cover the entire cost. They have cautioned me to look for my own attorney just in case the family of the injured decides to try to seize our property in an attempt to receive compensation. Should I take action now and look for an attorney, or should I wait and see how this unfolds before taking any further action?
