School District Liability

Is a school district liable for damage/theft to an employee's vehicle within a district parking lot during the employee's contract hours? If so, what are the parameters of reimbursement? Thank you.

Maybe. It depends on the paperwork or district requirements/rules regarding parking. But if you have your own insurance, your company would cover this damage/loss and it would be asking this question, not you.

The owner of a parking lot ordinarily assumes no liability for damage, theft, etc. On rare occasions, the owner will assume such liability or will conduct itself in such a way that the law will impose liability, but the key word here is "rare". Without more facts I can't say whether your case is one of those rare few.
